100% Custom HVAC Sheet Metal Fabrication
There are some HVAC contractors out there who believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Sure, for some buildings standard-sized ductwork will work, but there’s a problem.
Working with a provider who doesn’t do their HVAC fabrication in house means extra costs passed on to you. Think about these two options:
Relying on a Retailer
Some providers claim to offer custom solutions but they end up turning to one of their partner retailers to procure the ductwork that makes up the heart of your system. Not only should this give you concern about quality assurance, but that cost will inevitably be passed right on to you.
Even if the ducts were manufactured to high quality standards, a non-custom solution means that you aren’t getting exactly the solution that your facility needs. This leads to inefficiency and waste.
Turning to a Third-Party Fabricator
You may be reassured to know that your ductwork is being created custom to your needs, but concerns highlighted above can also rear their head. First, you are right to be concerned about quality. It is next to impossible to get a handle on quality standards when the work is being subcontracted out. And, of course, that cost is yet again going to be passed on to you.
However, there is another problem with having custom work done by an outside source: the effect it has on project timelines. The more wrenches that are thrown into the machine, the slower it is going to run.
